The Truth About Being Unapologetic

I wanted to share something with you, my love, to clarify

being unapologetic doesn’t mean you don’t care

it means you do

a fuck tonne

— but you care about what matters

you care about

the world

the truth

happiness

equality

love

freedom

justice

opportunity

sexuality

diversity

[insert what you care about]

& in desiring those things, and in order to champion those things

you stand up for them

you’re not apologising to or for that which stands in the way of them & you’re definitely not apologising for desiring them in the first place

in standing up for what we desire, we must face the System, the Programming, the Cage, the Culture, we must challenge what we’ve been told and what lies we’re sold, and we must find and/or create another way

and so you say Fuck That to what you don’t believe in and way-show an alternative version

being unapologetic is a decision and a choice to make every day

it’s a belief, a faith of true-ness

and yes, some days are harder than others

some programs are deeper running

but showing up to honour what lives in your belly,

breathes in your heart, pounds in your womb

what aligns with your word and your deep truth is always a choice

every day you can become unapologetic from the moment you wake

you can embody it, taste it, feel it

embrace the fire within and let it lead and love

this is a visceral feeling of self empowerment, of radical living in a world of Sheep & Simon Sayers

and even if what you are unapologetic about feels tiny,

trust me: the ripple effect is far greater

you don’t have to be loud, or grand, or showy

quite the opposite

you can ooze your unapologetic essence through your energy,

in subtle ways

less can be more

anchored in your power and beliefs vs showing it off

there’s a difference

seduce yourself along a truer path, be brave and follow, & step into your unapologetic nature

remember: it doesn’t mean not caring

it doesn’t mean shirking responsibility

no, it means cracking yourself open wider to care more deeply and resolutely and to take more authority

and then, the unapologetic truth, becomes your north star

that which gleams in your eye

that which guides you
